I bought one of these on August 18, 2014. A couple nights ago, one of the two tack-welds connecting the handle to the blade let go. Admittedly, I *was* leaning on it a little harder than usual trying to flatten a ground meat patty before it had thawed enough to flatten. I am bummed because I have cast iron and stainless steel and use it for everything. However, I *WILL* be buying another one.Ateco, you'd've gotten a 5 star rating were it not for the tack-welds; looks to be a weak spot in production.

I have always made very think and crisp rolled sugar cookies. Finding a thin bendable spatula is key. This worked perfectly. I could roll them out thinner then a potato chip and was still able to lift them without messing them up and put them on the cookie sheet to bake.I can not attest to the durability, but I would think as long as you use it for what it was made for it will last forever.

I can’t tell you if it’s worth $10 cuz the seller shipped it in a silly plastic bag…no protection whatsoever…so of course it was bent & contorted when it arrived. It may be a decent spatula, but I’ll never know that. Adios Ateco. You won’t miss me anyway, right. Cuz you know there are ~399.9M other Americans who might accept your overpriced $10 bent spatulas (since few will put the energy, time, money, mileage into returning theirs). Just think, if only one quarter of those Americans can’t/don’t return that $10 bent spatula, Ateco still grosses a poss $99.9M in bent spatula sales. Whoa! Now the 5¢ plastic shipping bag (vs a 10¢ box) makes more sense. Or perhaps you genuinely believed that I needed a bent spatula..to go with my bent skillet..to cook my bent eggs & bent pancakes. Naw, I’ll wait til the identical $3 Chinese knock-off I purchased 3-4 yrs ago (excellent value) is returned to me from whomever borrowed it.I like FLAT eggs and ham, Sam-I-am! Don't you?

I thought this spatula was absolutely awesome. Easily it WAS the most useful utensil in my kitchen. I use it basically daily with my cast iron skillet. It dug under stuck stuff and scraped cooking foods very well.It seemed maybe too thin for flipping a lot of items but I never had problems. The metal handle never got too hot to use unless left in a bad position near a flame.HOWEVER... it just broke today. The weld for one side attaching the scraper to the handle just gave way as I was frying rice. I decided to try to use that amazon app to see if I could reach out to the vendor for support. I don't think it is unreasonable for support on such a basic product. However Amazon shows no return possible.So time to shop for a new one of a different brand.

Had one for years that finally gave way and had to order two because they are so handy. If you make cookies or other delicate items, this is what you need to carefully remove them once rolled out OR after baking on a cookie sheet! They are so thin and flexible, you won't know how you lived without them. Gave a 4 for sturdiness, only because I do have one that broke but after YEARS of use!

This little spatula is great for cooking fried eggs.The thin blade bends to help get under the eggs, and then returns to its original shape.The thin blade easily slips under the edge of a frying egg without pushing or tearing.The only negative is that flipping it over to scrape the pan may cause the welds (connecting the blade to the handle) to fail.I have had one spatula fail due to weld failure, but it was several years old.I'm still rating this at 5 Stars, because the low cost and high usability of this spatula makes it a great value.RECOMMENDED!

We love this for all kinds of foods. It is very thin and the first one we had where the handle was soldered broke and we didn't think we could replace it but low and behold we found this spatula and the pie cutter and bought three! We know it is to be used for cookies but it's great when you need a very thin spatula to get under certain foods in a pan.

I have an old spatula that I have had for 40 years that I love. But it is cracking and I wanted another one that was thin enough to easily remove cookies from a cookie sheet. Everything I found was thicker, or had a rounded edge making it difficult to remove cookies without breaking them! I was skeptical when I ordered this spatula, but it is very thin and does the job nicely. The handle is not very substantial, and the flat part is so thin that it is actually "flexible" to a fault. That said, I still love it and glad I bought it. It took a long time to find just what I wanted.

I purchased this as a replacement for a much beloved, quite old spatula that had broken. This seems to be almost an exact replica, and is flexible as I'd hoped. And it came promptly. It looks as if it could come apart more easily than my old one, however. Hope I'm wrong and that it lasts a long time. We'll see I guess

I use this spatula every day. It is my go-to cooking utensil because of how thin and flexible this is. I do all of my cooking in iron skillets, and this spatula is thin and flexible enough to make omelets, pancakes, and crepes. I don't need to worry about it snapping or melting to my pans, and it is super easy to clean (I hand wash everything). I definitely recommend.

I purchased this spatula with the intention of using it with my new cast iron skillet. These work well for most things (pancakes, eggs, flipping hash browns), but as expected of a cookie spatula, they were more thin and flexible than your average flat spatula. It's thin enough that it can easily slice through soft foods you're cooking if you accidentally stab at your food.I was going to rate 4 stars, but realized it wasn't fair to rate the product lower because I bought it for something other than it's original intended use.Pros:LightweightThey work great for flipping cookies and other baked goodsThey clean easily by hand or in the dishwasher.Rounded corners help get around the corners of my pan.Flexible, thin - a pro if you're flipping delicate things like pancakes and eggsCons:I found the handle to be slightly awkward while working with my pan (the angle of the handle isn't the same as other flat spatulas), but not really a hindrance to use.Because it's so lightweight, the handle is only welded on by 4 small points... hopefully this holds.

I have many spatulas. This one is, by far, the best design than any of them because it's super thin, yet very durable. Oxo offers a few other types of thin spatulas, but they're very poorly designed (too floppy), so they don't really do the trick. This spatula is simple and very firm, but still has the flexibility to do the jobs that require a thin blade spatula. You'll be pleased.
