I chose this one because it has 3mm, 3.25mm,3.75mm that my Zing set doesn't have. I love Zing and wanted to try other knitters pride product.I only can compare with Zing. It's noticeably ligher than Zing. Not that Zing is heavy at all, it is so lightweight. Feels like a toy in the beginning after I use Zing.Zing is way smoother. No friction at all. I love Zing's feeling and touch. Carbon fiber gives little bit of friction compared Zing, i guess which is good to slippery yarn.Tip of needles, Karbonz is sharper than Zing.I love both. It is very good quality of needles sets. Joint is good, cable is ok. I am so happy to have those.

Order shipped next day and arrived very quickly. These needles have smooth joins, feel great in my hands and the cords are very flexible! Only drawback is the case they come in. But the needles are great! Would certainly recommend. Current project I'm using double stranded yarn (2 separate types) and there is some lace detailing in the pattern and the Inc, Dec, and otherwise tricky sections are going by like a breeze- there is a very nice point on them. Very glad I purchased and switched to these mid project.

Have had this set for about a month and a half but just discovered that my 4.50 mm/US 7 will not screw in tight to the cord; just keeps turning. And, of course, it's past the date when I can return the product. All the other needles have tested fine, so it's just this one needle. I'm giving the set a low rating on quality control only.

I bought a set for my wife, and one for our daughter, and initially these would have gotten a 5-star review - but we were on vacation and never got around to it. Thank goodness! My wife ended up not being as thrilled with her set as she thought she'd be, but with no significant complaint - she sold them to another knitter not long after getting and using them for a short while. But our daughter kept her set, and initially loved them. Now only one year old, this purchase for our daughter has turned out to be a piece of junk. Two of the needles have already stripped and won't attach to the cables. A third needle is separating at the tip, and catches on the wool. Knitter's Pride? I'm not sure what they're proud of, but it certainly isn't their customer service. They won't even consider any resolution for an $85 set of knitting needles - because it wasn't purchased through an "approved" dealer on Amazon. If you want something that works very nicely for a short period of time - spend a lot of money and buy these. But if you want something that works very nicely for the long term, with a company that stands behind their products - avoid this from ANY source.

Good needles, nice feel. The white "ink" with the needle size on the carbon fiber shafts rubs off, but the etched US sizes on the brass base does not seem to wear. The points seem to have a nice balance of sharp enough to pick into knots but blunt enough so that you are not splitting the yarn too often - and they are very smooth. The carbon shafts hold yarn with just enough friction so that all the stitches do not fly off the needle, but not so much that it is hard to move the stitches when you want to. The cords are light but seem strong.***UPDATE 12/28/2018 - I have made a shawl, a scarf and a baby blanket all with detailed patterns as well as a sweater since buying these. I am now looking to get the "special" set with 3.5" needles for circular knitting as well as some double pointed needles. These needles feel and work great. Getting ready to buy more seemed like the best endorsement, hence the update.

I have always used wooden needles (Clover Takumi interchangeable needles were my first set of interchangeable needles) because I hate the way yarn slides around on metal needles. However, there's always the struggle of having slightly duller tips on wooden needles and sometimes getting stitches onto the needle is rough. I was cautiously optimistic when I discovered this set but now after 8 months of using these almost daily, I am beyond thrilled. These have become my go-to set and I could not be happier. It's all the benefit of the metal tip with the grip of wood needles on the body, only heartier and stronger. I am no longer concerned about my cats wrecking my needles if I forget to put them away!As some other reviewers mentioned, the transition from the needle tip to the body is not completely smooth on all the needles. I have not found this to be a huge problem. If you knit really tight, you might have a bit more of a problem but I adjusted to it pretty quickly and I rarely notice it anymore. The cords also do a pretty good job staying attached. I found my Clover needles' cords twisting themselves off the needles all the time but I am having much better luck with this set. They're not perfect, but they're pretty darn close!

I have a needle taped to the cable with scotch tape so I can finish my current project. I am very disappointed in the quality. The needles themselves are nice enough (one metal tip snags the yarn), the cables are okay - the cable connections are critical. I have 3 needles that wont screw solidly to the cable (they apparently are stripped), and the metal tip from one of the cables fell off as soon as I pulled it out of the package. I would give this set a half star because the case is kind of nice, but overall, I spent a lot of money for something that's not worth it.I've completed 2 scarves with these needles, and my 3rd project is nearly done - I wont start any more with these needles.

Received the needles and one of the cables was defective. Also had a problem with the join on one of the needles. I contacted the seller who immediately responded. They referred me to the manufacturer. Knitters Pride states on their website that they will not warranty this set if you purchase from Amazon. These are manufactured in India and there is a quality issue. That is just ridiculous that the manufacturer won't handle any problems with their very expensive product. I would not recommend the needles for this reason.

I purchased these needles in January 2016. I hadn't knitted a project until recently that called for the size 6 needles. When I went to attach the needles to the cord, one of the needles is stripped. It just spins around and won't lock. I thought I was purchasing from Knitter's Pride, so I contacted them. Unaware, I purchased from a third party, therefore Knitter's Pride will not warranty the product. Very disappointed in the product and Knitter's Pride Karbonz Deluxe Interchangeables!!!! Very poor quality for such a hefty price. I guess they want you to knit on one needle.UPDATE: I contacted the seller and they got me a replacement needle very quickly. I would give the seller 5 STARS!

I love these needles. They are great to work with.I've been knitting for about three or four years now and have finally decided to get a new needle set (I've been using Dennis Interchangeable - which I recommend for beginners who don't want to spend a lot). After shopping around and reading a good number of reviews, I decided on these Karbonz Interchangeables. The price was right, and the set contained all the sizes I wanted most, and use the most often.I've been using these needles for a few weeks. I've never had them bend on me, nor have I tried to bend them. They feel pretty durable, and I suppose if you really try you can bend them (kinda like if you bend an iPhone...it'll bend). I haven't had any chipping of the needles, or roughness and the connections to the cords are smooth. The cords are also flexible and great for magic loop. The needle points are sharp and avoid splitting yarn. They also make a great clicking noise when they tap together. For some reason I enjoy the clicking of needles, so if you do too, these are great for clicking. The numbers on the shaft of the needle do rub off, but I haven't found a pair of needles where that doesn't happen. It's not an issue, but if you're worried buy a cheap needle gauge. The only problem I've had with this kit is the US 4 needles. One of the needles wasn't shaped correctly at the base so it doesn't tighten on the cord join. Which is a pain, and I could contact the company to get it fixed, but I haven't.Overall I would give this kit a five star rating, but since the US4 needle is damaged from purchase, I can only give it 4 stars.

Although a fairly new knitter, I decided to invest ininterchangeable circulars as the most economical and flexible way to always have the right needle on hand. And after seeing a segment on "Knitting Daily" on how Knitters Pride needles are made, I decided to give them a try. I bought one Carbonz circ at my LYS, and was hooked. What great needles! So I bought this set and have not been disappointed. I really like the chrome tips, they are slick enough for grabby yarns, and have a perfect taper. I love the carbon shafts, they have a much more quality feel than metal needles, and also hold onto the yarn better. The cables are perfect, relaxing fairly quickly after taking them out of the package, and they are very easy to work with, even for magic loop projects. (I've been able to complete several hats without ever switching to dpn's.) I also really like the strength of the carbon, and feel comfortable that even the smallest size needles won't break.I did receive one defective needle, a size 3 with the screw on connector that was stripped. Amazon was great about taking care of the problem, and I feel like they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. But I do suggest that you check all needles, cables, and connections when you receive your order. If you don't use a certain size for a year or two after purchase, and then discover an issue, it's on you not them.If you worry about the connection coming undone while knitting with Knitters Pride interchangeables, don't. These stay together extremely well, just gently tighten with the cable key or a paper clip. I've never had a problem with them even loosening. I always try to hold onto the metal connector and not the shaft of the needle when tightening, just to not add strain to the join between the metal and the carbon or wood. One other thing that is a cut above with these needles is the included case. It's the nicest of any standard type of needles I have seen. It zips closed, so you won't lose anything. Inside the clear cover and classy silver fabric back are 2 fabric pages with elastic loops that will hold all the needles in this set, plus at least one other full set. Then there is also the inside back with a large clear plastic pocket for your cables and accessories. If you don't use an aftermarket case, you will find this case to be quite functional and well made.Overall I am very happy with this purchase. If you use mostly wool or wool blend yarns , these might be the only needles you ever need.

This is a great product but I've discovered my personal preference is for wood needles. While the carbon fiber body does prevent some slippage, I find that I drag one needle against the other so it feels a bit strange when I'm not looking due to the join between the CF body and the metal tip (when I unconsciously knit tightly from thoughts my knitting will slip off the slickness). These weigh a little more than my wooden set.One of the great things about this kit is that the manufacturing company that makes this product also makes the KnitPicks interchangeables so the KnitPicks cords can also be used. Having this option has allowed me to quickly go to my LYS to buy additional sizes of cords for a last minute project. The tip is sharp enough that my knitting group members who knit lace-y shawls do use this set and enjoy it for it's flexibility. However, the dedicated lace knitters seem to prefer their non-interchangeable ChiaGoos.Sizing is written on the CF body and metal backend but for me it gets wiped off with my heavy usage. I wish that there was an included card that quickly told you the length of each of the included colored cords.English style knitter, 2 circulars (never magic loop), I use these at least 2x a week and no hand fatigue yet, 33 y/o

I wanted so much to like these needles. And I did. They're beautiful, smooth, and lightweight. But like others have mentioned, they have quality control issues. If I'd gotten a perfect set, I probably would have given these a 5. But at that moment when my excitement was peaking -- unwrapping my new package, assembling the cords and just inspecting the needles -- a cord broke.Seriously. I hadn't even gotten to the knitting part yet! I had just tightened the cable to a size 6 needle, and was reaching over to grab a tightening key when the cord separated from the metal join with a slight pop. That was it.$85 dollars, and one of four cords is rendered unusable within 8 minutes of me opening the Amazon box. I am beyond disappointment, especially knowing that these needles are so light and nice.I'm returning the entire set in frustration (thanks, Amazon's phenomenal return policy!) and replacing them with a set of the Trendz. Cheap acrylic needles that are less than $30, and don't have nickel-plating at the tips so I don't have to worry about allergies. The cords will probably still be the same cheap quality, but with the money I've saved on the needles, I can afford to replace the cords.

Cheap, do not purchase. Tips fall off, cords won't stay on (threads are stripped). Impossible to use. I bought two of these, one for a gift and one for me. These must be counterfeit. Knitter's Pride won't replace any defective ones because they were purchased on Amazon. Amazon won't take them back because it is past the thirty day return policy. The company that sells through Amazon won't take them back. $190 down the drain. Spend your money at a REAL knitting shop if you want any warranty at all.

These are everything. Durable, attractive, cool packaging/holder/organizer. The nylon cords are color-coded, which is brilliant, and they are also the most flexible and non-fussy cords I've ever had the pleasure of using! I've purchased many Karbonz rounds and magic loops individually. Happy now to have the interchangeable set. The joins stay joined, and are quite smooth. The stainless needle tips allow for fast and easy knitting, no matter how delicate the yarn or project is, and the carbon fiber needle bodies give just the right grip and texture, plus unbeatable strength.

Karbonz are amazing! These are the best knitting needles I have ever used. I haven't had any problems with snags where the cord threads to the needle. They're smooth and comfortable in my hands. I love that the set comes with different sized cords for different projects and the end caps are great for leaving WIPs sitting for later. You definitely need to use the provided keys to tighten the cords on for secure fit. I've been using them for a while now and the printed sizes seem to be rubbing off on some needles but it's not much of a problem as the sizes are also etched in the metal ends by the threads. I look forward to using these for many many years. I love them so much I also bought 2 Karbonz size 1 fixed circulars just so I could use them for 2 at a time socks.

I've used these for a couple months now and I love them. The points are sharper than other circular needles I've used, and this is particularly nice since I tend to be a tight knitter. They are very light weight and do not seem to cause hand fatigue. The cable is quite flexible and the juncture between tips and cable is very smooth. I'm finishing up a baby afghan, and the only problem I had was one of the tips became loose once. Just needed to be tightened and had no problems after that. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for interchangeable needles. Well worth the price. Was a little disappointed with the case, as it seems to be kind of cheap, just some clear vinyl and cloth, but the quality of the needles and cables is really what matters.

I started knitting only about 4 months ago, but have taken to the craft quickly and fervently, so I decided it was time to expand my tools from the single needles I bought here and there when I first started, to a full set of interchangeable needles. At the same time I purchased this set, I also purchased the
HiyaHiya Interchangeable Needles Set, Sharp 5" LIMITED EDITION
.It took me forever to decide on which set to order, but I selected the HiyaHiya as my main set, and selecting this set of Karbonz in case the HiyaHiya stainless steel needles were too slick for my projects. This gave me the ability to use grabbier needles (these Karbonz) for synthetic and cotton yarns, which love to move around, while using the HiyaHiya needles for wool and other animal fibers, that like to grab on and add friction. I had never used the Karbonz before (or any Knitter's Pride needles, for that matter), but it turns out that the Karbonz work very well with slicker yarns as I had hoped.I've mostly used bamboo needles as I started out, but I can see how I might prefer these carbon fiber needles over bamboo, although I do wish that the Karbonz were available in larger and smaller sizes than what is included in this set. Single needle pairs are available all the way down to size US00000 (1.0mm) -- a size I would be very hesitant to use in bamboo or aluminum -- but nothing larger than size 10, the largest in this set. I deducted half star because of the range of sizes. Size US2.5 is not bad as far as a set of interchangeables go, but without a size 13, I am very unhappy.Despite that, these needles, packed in a simple but modern case, work well for the sizes that are included. Unfortunately, like many sets, this set (despite the "Deluxe" name) does not include a 16" circular cable. Why doesn't anyone include a 16-inch cable?! I deducted another half star for the lack of a 16-inch cable, which I had to purchase separately.Should you buy these? Not as a primary set. As a secondary set to compliment a set of stainless or aluminum needles, yes, provided you have other options for sizes above size US10, and do not care about the 16-inch cable. It's a quality set of needles, although with minimal use, the lettering with the sizes is already beginning to wear off the carbon fiber. Thankfully, the size is also stamped into the metal at the end of the needle.2015-12-15 update I had not checked all the needles when I first got the set, and as it turns out, one of the size 7 needles in my set is stripped and will not screw onto the cord. Bummer. What's worse, Knitter's Pride will only honor their warranty if purchased through an authorized retailer, so I'm left having to purchase a replacement set of the size 7 needles. Still, it's worth it. It's a size I use a lot, and as I use the Karbonz, I find that I like them more and more. I don't really care about them being "warm" to the touch, but the strength and grabbiness of them really sets them apart from other needle materials. Considering I can't find titanium needles anywhere (LOL), these are pretty darn good.

I ordered these needles hoping to make an investment in my knitting hobby and these needles were the perfect choice! They are quick to put together and the joins are almost invisible. I have never experienced a snag! The carbon fibre are warm to the touch and feel weightless in your hands, they are the perfect length to hold. The tip is pretty sharp way better for decreases than the addi turbos. They sell additional tips for these needles as well, I which is definitely a plus. I will be ording more for this line soon.
